The best way to describe Leann Webb is as a catalyst: she is a person who makes things happen. She’s an innovator, thought leader, successful entrepreneur (she has founded 5 companies) and in 2012 was selected as one of Queensland’s Best and Brightest.
Her strongest suit is in growing businesses and increasing revenue. Her expertise includes communications, marketing, sales, business development, account management and customer service. Leann knows how to think competitively and create differentiations and innovations so that companies are positioned ahead of their rivals.
Leann started Aurora Marketing in 2001, creating a niche in tender and submission management. Since then, she has worked with the who’s who of Australian companies on an array of tenders and proposals that have spanned every state of Australia, several other countries and virtually every industry possible. She has worked with blue chip companies including John Holland, Thiess, CPB, McConnell Dowell, Acciona, Downer, MacMahon, Bombardier, Alstom, Transdev, Transfield, Lend Lease, Macquarie, ISS, Aurizon, and the list goes on… Her project experience covers everything from rolling stock and rail tracks, to tunnels, toll roads, roads, bridges, water, schools, hospitals, prisons, defence bases, ports, airports and virtually every type of infrastructure you can imagine.
With an astonishing track record of 98.5%, she has earned her place as the go-to person if you have a tender you really need to win. Her success has been underpinned by her own comprehensive tender system of tools, processes and precedents that she developed to ensure every tender had the best chance at winning. The Aurora Marketing team consists of more than 35 tender experts, located around Australia. With every tender, Leann and her team refine the Aurora Marketing STAR Framework to ensure it keeps pace with the changing expectations of clients, improving capabilities of the client team members, and the ever-evolving competitive landscape. To date, this proven formula has generated wins in excess of $120 Billion. Leann teaches this recipe for success through her STAR Training Program — a structured approach which ensures all members of the Aurora Marketing team have the skills required to work with tender teams, and budgets, of all sizes to deliver wins.
Leann is a voracious student and a self-confessed addict when it comes to acquiring new personal skills. She has a BBus and MBA in business, specialising in marketing and human resources, and is a qualified AICD Graduate. She has an unquenchable thirst for travel and an ongoing love affair with archaeology and language (as evidenced by her study of a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Latin and a Masters of Linguistics). And on top of all of this, Leann is a qualified Krav Maga Instructor, one of Australia’s only Kids Krav Maga Instructors and a Women’s Self-Defence and Krav Maga Instructor.

Alisa’s interest in their story is what enables her to appreciate the business drivers behind a winning team and translate that into a successful tender strategy or marketing campaign.

As a strategic communications and marketing expert with more than two decades’ experience working in Australia and internationally in government, transport and tourism, Kerri understands the importance of delivering targeted and effective marketing solutions. Kerri is Aurora Marketing’s eyes, ears and hands on the ground in Sydney, providing local expertise and point of contact. Kerri’s philosophy is that we have two ears and one mouth for a reason – listening and responding to clients’ needs in order to develop winning outcomes for their project is her number one priority. Kerri is a creative and innovative thinker who thrives on the challenge of delivering a winning tender strategy and is committed to establishing long-lasting and trusted business relationships.
Tender Expert, Business Development Manager
Kylie is Aurora’s key point of contact on the ground in Melbourne. Flexible and adaptable in her approach, Kylie enjoys working collaboratively with clients to understand their situation and tailor Aurora’s service offering to suit. With experience in major transport and infrastructure tenders valued at over $1 billion, Kylie understands the processes needed to support a large bid team in mobilising and working in unison to produce a winning submission. Coming from a producing and content production background, Kylie’s mix of project management, storytelling and people skills allow her to thrive in the fast-paced environment of bidding.
Marketing Coordinator, Tender Expert
At Aurora Marketing, Kieran’s efforts consist dually with raising the awareness of the Aurora brand through various marketing activations and initiatives, as well as working alongside valued clients to deliver a successful tender bid. With an extensive background in sales, marketing and event management across multiple industries including sports leisure, events, not-for-profit and defence, Kieran brings a wealth of knowledge accompanied by a calm yet decisive demeanour to the Aurora Marketing team.
As Operations Manager for Aurora Marketing, Sue is the engine room behind this market leading organisation. Sue is a motivated, determined and efficient leader, passionate about people and project management, having worked for award-winning business catalyst Leann Webb since 2007. Sue has developed invaluable knowledge of Aurora Marketing’s clients across multiple industries, and focuses on providing excellent customer service. Her goal is to always collaborate, to focus on finding solutions, and to always be a pleasure to deal with. Working in the fast-paced world of tenders, her efficiency is exceptional. Sue works logically, rationally and creatively to find solutions; from resourcing a tender to keeping client costs on budget.

A business graduate of The University of Queensland, Nellie is determined and passionate about working with businesses to strive for success. An energetic and enthusiastic team member, Nellie’s role is to assist with the smooth operation of the Aurora head office. She understands the importance of excellent business management and effective office coordination and how that plays a significant part in a successful tender.

This ensures that clients continue to receive tender solutions at a cost they can afford, time and time again.
Attuned to the budgetary concerns of clients, Tauree is vigilant about providing transparent, accurate and regular reporting to keep the financial ball in the client’s court throughout the project lifecycle. This accountability is enforced from the outset, enabling the development of trusting and enduring relationships. Keeping one step ahead all the time and ensuring all processes are in place to run efficiently and effectively, Tauree always looks for improvements to give clients a better service each time.
